Quick Spa Maintenance
(1) CHLORINE for SPAS:
• Add 2 Tablespoons (2 oz) into spa with jets turned on AFTER using spa.
• Chlorine should be added at least two times a week if spa is not used.
• Leave Jets ON for 15 minutes then turn OFF and put cover back on.
• If Spa is used every day, skip a day if Chlorine level remains too high.
(2) RENEW / SHOCK OUT:
• Add 2 Tablespoons of RENEW once a week.
• This is NOT a sanitizer; it allows the Chlorine to work better and eliminates odors.
(3) STAIN & SCALE DEFENDER:
• Add 2 oz. of SPA DEFENSE once a week.
• This will help eliminate minerals that may build up on the spa.
Water Test Strips:
• Test water once a week and adjust PH & ALKALINITY as needed.
• Use SPA UP to Increase PH/ALK. (May be needed with CITY water)
• Use SPA DOWN to Decrease PH/ALK. (Common with WELL water)
Filters:
• Filters should be removed and cleaned once a month.
• It is best to have extra filters to switch with the existing filters once a month.
• Immediately clean the dirty filters and store in a dry place until the next swap-out.
The above amounts are for spas that hold approximately 500 gallons of water.
Read the back of chemical container for exact dosage and precautions.
